11/29/21 Road to Revolution

I hope that you all had a wonderful, safe, and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday. I am rested and ready to go!

This week in Social Studies we will finish up our unit on the Road To Revolution (slides 21-33).

Monday: We will learn about the Boston Tea Party through an escape room.

Tuesday: The Coercive Acts

Wednesday: FIELD TRIP! We are so excited to go to The Kilgore Oil Museum.

Thursday: The Battles of Lexington and Concord – The Shot heard Around the World

Friday: The First Continental Congress & Review the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.

This week in English we will review adjectives. We will identify and use adjectives in sentences. We will also identify simple and compound sentences using a mentor sentence taken from the book George Washington’s Socks.

Your student should be able to identify at least 20 states on a U.S. map. They should know the states along the east coast as well as the states that border Texas. How many states can you (your family) name on a map? Can you name the capitals? It might be harder than you think! Make a game out of it!
